Biography of Br Henry

The New Servant Leader of MBJ Rev. Br. Henry Chidi Uzor, FMS, hails from Amuzi, in Obowo L.G.A of Imo State. Currently, he is a Doctoral Degree(Ph.D.) Student in Strategic Communication and Management at Abia State University, Uturu. He holds a Masters’s Degree(MA) in Strategic Management and Communication from Day Star University, Nairobi, Kenya. Also, he holds a bachelor’s Degree in Education (B.Ed) in English Language and Literature from the Catholic University of Eastern Africa(CUEA), Nairobi, Kenya. Br. Henry once worked as a teacher and Dean of Students’ Affairs at Marist Brothers’ Juniorate, Uturu, Abia State, and Marist Comprehensive College, Ezzagu, Ebonyi State, respectively. He has a strong passion for children and youth education, development, and empowerment. He is the Executive Secretary of the Conference of Superiors of the African Continent of the Marist Brothers. Chairperson, Communication Commission of the African Continent and member, Communication Commission of Marist Brothers Worldwide. Member, Global Network of Marist Schools, networking 820 Marist Schools globally. Chairman, Marist Solidarity Foundation(MaSoF) in Nigeria, and member, Marist Solidarity Foundation Worldwide; Former Secretary-General of the Marist Brothers in Nigeria. He is currently a member of the Provincial Council of the Marist Brothers in Nigeria. Until his recent appointment as the Chief Shepherd of Marist Brothers’ Juniorate (MBJ), Uturu, Br. Henry was the Dean, of Students’ Affairs of Marist Comprehensive Academy Uturu, Abia State. His hobbies include reading, playing football, and engaging in creative and innovative conversations.
